This beautiful photo of Calvin was taken by Pete Culumovic at the 2009 ASSA National.

Calvin, by 18 months of age, has accomplished so much.  He was Reserve Winners
Dog at the 2009 ASSA National from the 9-12 AOAC puppy class, achieved his
Canadian Championship, won 4 majors (2 at specialties), 2 Best in Sweeps,
1 runner up to Best in Sweeps and had several specialty major RWDs.
I'm so proud of this boy!

Later that day, Calvin finished his American Championship by winning
his 4th major at the Central New York Shetland Sheepdog Club specialty
show under Judge Joan Kirkland.

Calvin completed the year in style by going BOB at the Cleveland Shetland
Sheepdog Club Specialty under Judge Sandra MacIntosh-Feret.  Held in
conjunction with the Lorain County Kennel Club, Calvin finished the day
with a Group 2 under Judge Larry Adams.  Calvin was handled to both
wins by Katie Grohowalski.  Thank you Katie!

Calvin is a very special dog.  I've always loved his grandmother Eve (Am/Can
CH Sharrow Arizona Nights) and when she had a tri son by Am/Can CH
Dury Voe Wintergreen, I knew I wanted to see what a breeding to Christy
would produce.  It was a wonderful litter of six that resulted in three show
prospects.  Ramsey (Homespun Dundee Silverama), a blue merle brother,
is co-owned with Lyndee Krivanek and Mary Stuller.  Stevie (Homespun
Damingo Leather and Lace), a tri sister, lives with Joanna Fortson.  All of
the puppies have wonderful upbeat attitudes and are very loving.  I look
forward to following their show careers.

Baby Calvin

Calvin is the most agreeable puppy and enjoys experiencing new
things to include wearing jeans and his first introduction to sheep.
He may well be the next clown in the family!
